Our Services

Home Is Best aims to provide professional, flexible and friendly care services tailored to your individual needs. Our services mean you can remain in your own home enabling your family and friends to be more involved with your care and wellbeing. We can offer as much or as little care and support as you require from experienced local home carers.

Personal Care

Personal care can be tailored to support you with everyday activities. This can include things like help with meal routines, assistance with bathing and washing, continence care and medication.

Social Companionship

Social companionship can be an excellent addition to an existing package of care or a standalone service. Whether it’s just having someone there to listen, a blether over a cup of tea or a trip to your favourite coffee shop, we can help.

Domestic Care

Domestic care can be added to compliment an existing package or wecan organise this service on its own. This includes, for example; meal planning and preparation, light housework, collection of prescriptions/shopping and taking care of much loved pets.

Respite & Holiday Cover

This service can allow you or a loved one to have a well-earned break while staying in your own home. This service will be flexible as possible and can include overnight cover.

Holiday Care

One of our care assistants will accompany you on your holiday, providing the same service you would receive at home. This allows you and your family time to relax with the support that you need to get the most out of your holiday.

Live-in Care

Live-in care provides you with an affordable alternative to residential or nursing home admission. This service is suited to clients who require support either during the full day, night or both maintaining the highest level of independence possible while remaining in their own home.

Palliative Care

Palliative care supports clients with life threatening or terminal illnesses and their families through what can be a traumatic and difficult time. We endeavour to provide the best quality of care for those suffering a progressive illness, ensuring a high level of dignity and respect is maintained while fulfilling their wish to be at home.

Hospital-to-Home Care

Hospital to home care can provide a positive transition in helping you settle back in to the comfort of your own home and surroundings after a stay in hospital. We will work in partnership with other professionals such as Occupational Therapists to ensure that optimum recovery is achieved.

How it works?

  • We receive your enquiry and introduce you to our company, discuss your requirements, provide information on the services we can offer you and outline an approximate cost.

  • We arrange for one of our clinical assessors to visit you at home where they undertake a care and risk assessment, discuss your individual requirements and provisionally agree the level of support and care you require.

  • We prepare and cost your individually tailored personal care plan then arrange another visit with you to finalise your care plan with you and your family.

  • We identify a suitable member of our staff to support you in line with your personal care plan and arrange for you to meet them to ensure your needs will be met and you are happy and comfortable with your carer.

Your options explained

Direct Payment Scheme
A Direct Payment is a mechanism that allows you to have more choice and control over the support you receive. Direct Payments can be broken down in to what are called options.

Option 1 Direct Payment
A payment made directly to you to be spent on fulfilling your package of care however you see fit.

Option 2 Individual service Fund
This again gives you more control and flexibility over your package of care allowing you to choose your provider and the level of support you would like, while the local authority holds your budget and makes this arrangement on your behalf.

Option 3 Direct Service
Option 3 funding is where your level of care is assessed by your local social work department or hospital to home team. Under this option you are allocated an approved provider from the national framework and your package of care is implemented and overseen by your local authority.

Private Care
Whether it’s a small top up to compliment your agreed package of Social Work funded care or a full time Care At Home package - a cost effective alternative to full time residential or nursing home admission, we can help.
